Delete your Grublist account

You can delete your account in Grublist or ask us to delete it by email. You do not need to install the app to send a request.

Request deletion by email

Email support@getgrublist.com with the subject Delete my Grublist account. Send the request from your account email address if possible, and include the email address you use to sign in to Grublist.

If you use Apple's Hide My Email, include the private relay address shown in your Grublist account settings. Tell us if you cannot access that address. We will need to verify that the account is yours before we delete it. Do not send your password or payment-card details.

You can use the same address to ask us to delete specific personal data without deleting your whole account. Tell us which data you want deleted. Some data is needed to keep an active account working.

Delete your account in the app

1. Sign in to Grublist and open Settings.
2. Expand Danger zone, then select Delete account.
3. Read the information shown and confirm deletion.

If you own a household with other members, the app will ask you to remove those members first. Contact support if you need help with a shared household. If your account is linked to Apple and Android cannot complete deletion, use the email request above or complete deletion on iPhone.

What we delete

We delete your account and sign-in records, account settings, notification tokens, and personal preferences. If you are the only member of a household you own, we also delete its recipes, uploaded recipe photos, grocery lists, and meal plans.

What can remain

If other members remain in a shared household, its shared recipes, lists, plans, and history remain available to them until they delete that content or the household is deleted. We remove or reassign your account attribution where needed to preserve that shared content.

Limited security, billing, email-suppression, and legal records can remain for the period needed to meet the relevant security, accounting, or legal requirement. Service providers apply their own retention requirements to these limited records. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Cancel a subscription separately

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. For a subscription bought on Android, use Google Play subscriptions. For one bought on iPhone, use your Apple subscription settings.

Closing a household is also different from deleting your account. Closing keeps the household's content for its remaining members.
